So we (Abin, my brothers & I) went to central market last saturday. Abin & I are a fan of artsy stuff or I'd like to call it rare artsy stuff; underground poems and novels, homemade beauty products, decorative arts, busking etc etc. Despite the fact that I only get excited for the beauty products (obviously), I am still glad we have (atleast) something in common! So we went to KLCC afterwards and hang out at the park the whole evening. It was nice catching up with my brothers :-)

Modelling: How did I become one of them

A lot of people have been asking me, "How do I become a model?" "How to be a model?" "Can you (fathie) please help me. I want to be a model too." Honestly, I dont really know how to help. 

And honestly, I have been wondering the same thing too, "How on earth do an ordinary girl like me end up being in magazine & papers?"

Well it all started when one day, I came across an instagram profile of a very talented young photographer (instagram: @azriannaphptography) -- I was so amazed by the photos she took. She's 18 btw. As I was scrolling down her pictures, I saw an advertisment or a notice she post saying she need a model for her personal photography work (a project I think).

Long story short, I emailed her my resume consist of my personal datas & 3 photos of myself (close-up shot, half-body shot & full-body shot). She responsed to it right away. 

Unfortunately, on the day of the shoot, I got a text from her saying that the make-up artist can only do make-up for two models (on that time she has more than two models including me). My sessions with her on that day was cancelled. She continued the shoot with the other two models.

I admit that I felt a little frustrated at first because I was so excited to wake up early in the morning for the shoot but all I got was the cancellation text message. But on top of it, I was seriously okay. I wasnt so serious about being a model after all. I just want an experience. 

Months after that, I got a text message from sincerelybyus boutique's owner (instagram: @sincerelybyushawls) Miss Inora Zainy asked me if I am interested in modelling for her boutique. I was over-whelmed. 

Its true what people say, "semua yang terjadi ada hikmah disebaliknya". There were definitely something good behind the cancellation of photoshoot with azrianna. Something bigger is waiting for me. 

Above it all, I am still an amateur. There are still plenty of things I need to learn and discover. I love what I am doing and it is a really good platform for me to build up my self-confidence and be better person. Alhamdulillah.

Hello there! 

This is not my first blog. Previously I had two blogs and yeah I got bored after some time and abandoned them. They were full of crap by the way, thats the other reason why I have to get rid of them. 

As I have nothing better to do, so I thought, why not give blogging another try? Ehe, so here we go.

Hi, you can call me fathie and I blog about whatever I want to blog -- well, I will try to share whatever it is I think of sharing; it may be about beauty products, fashion tips, my personal thoughts and travelogues.
